Siemens AG is one of the largest engineering companies in Europe and is a prominent manufacturer of medical healthcare and diagnostic equipment as well as a wide variety of products for lighting, fire-safety, building security, production machinery, airport security logistics, and rail transportation. The company originally started in telegraphy and built the first long-distance telegraph line in Europe then diversified into a global-wide company that employs approximately 420,000 people in almost 190 countries. Although it has many positive contributions to the world, Siemens and its subsidiaries has participated in a large share of drama including a plant using prison labor in Auschwitz, the Siemens Scandal that erupted in Japan in 1914, and investigations into a wide range of bribes including Nigerian officials and Greek political parties.
